One of Hazara Union's member has talked with the children below and asked them about their future life.

"Any one has a wish, but mine will be burial with myself!", the boy says

This boy is shepherd. He has lost one of his legs, not completely but this one is shorter than an other one. It is not easy to go on the mountains in the area, where he is shepherd, while both foot are in order. So how difficult can be for him to run on the top of these mountains by a defective leg? I asked him about school, education etc. He answered that it is his wish to be an educated person, but how? it was the question, which he self didn’t had answer for. “Any one has a wish, but mine will be burial with myself”, he said finally.

The boy at left side is shepherd in a little town. He getup 5:00 o’clock at early morning and moves the flock of sheep & goats to the mountains. It is his duty from 1st. April up to last September. He is not allowed to eat together with the family members, where he spends his night, he should eat separately, because he is just a “Shepherd”! In winter he returns to his parents with his livelihood that is 210 kg. wheat.

He enjoys himself with capturing a picture together with a school student, who has cam in the past few hours from his school. “I have a dear to carry a schoolbag on my back part” he said. If you look at the picture, you can sharply see happiness felling at his face, because he is taking picture with a school student at this moment.

Sharif is 9. He works at afternoon and gets 500 Pakistani Rupees per month. He divides the money fifty fifty with his parents and pays his own part to school fees. Otherwise he cannot goes to school. It means that he must pay for both, parents and shool. Therefore he works hardly every day.

Sakhi has almost the same situation as Sharif…

Shamsia is 12. She weaves carpet from 8:00 to 16:00, just one time break. She gets 500 Pakistani Rupees, less then 9$/month. She says that her parents are not able to send her to school, because they cannot pay the monthly school fees and nor studying material.

Sharif, Sakhi and Shamsia are working together in a carpet workshop

Here are also the children, who work 7 to 8 times in days. No one of them goes to school, because they must to earn for their parents.

What would you feel, if they were your children.....? It is not very difficult to describe your feeling. We all know! So help these children and defend their future life...

What is "One by One"?

One by One is a help project for the children, who want to go to school, but their parents are not able to pay their school expenditures. In this issue Hazara Union Denmark (HUD) has involved itself and has provided a list included fully specifications over the students, who need help.

Running method

One person from Europe can choose one or more students from our list, who we named "Sponsorship". The person, who sponsors a student, pays his/hers school expenditures yearly, which start from 200 Danish Kroner or equivalent of it. Hazara Union fills out a form that contents all information of both side & sends to Sponsorship and Student. This form plays the rule of certificate in future. For example, the sponsorship has this chance to invite the hosted student from Hazarajat to Europe after completing first & second years of college in their town, if student wants to continue his/her education. Sponsorship gets the yearly form from Hazara Union by post. It is also possible for sponsorship to journey to Hazarajat and meets the student and her/his family directly, because after first year, both sponsorship and student knows each other completely.

Why starts from Jaghuri?

Naturally, we have started from Jaghuri, because we know the area and the people. It means not that we concentrate our activities just in this district. Our purpose is to expand the project to all over Hazarajat. Therefore we request our visitors to present a trusty person from other area, who you think is fit for this project and to take part with us.

Connecting method

It is very sample to have a student. Contact the responsible personal in many different countries, when have chosen a student from list. You can pay via Hazara Union’s Bank Account in Denmark . Hazara Union will create more Bank Account in different countries in future. So it becomes easier to pay. Visit contact page here…
